Seated in his new T-90 tank, you could hardly make out if Captain Berwal was on Rajpath or in the battlefield. His eyes were focussed ahead, and alert.
Captain Berwal proudly paraded the newly acquired Russian made T-90 tank on Republic Day.
"It is a great experience for a young officer, a matter of honour for any unit to present a contingent at the parade."
He had more reasons to feel special. Years ago, his father was a member of the same unit. This R-Day, his father watched Captain Berwal on television from his home in Haryana. And cheering him on along Rajpath was his wife.
