2006's top Telugu heroes

Nagarjuna Akkineni
The dashing Nagarjuna completed two decades in the film industry this year. He had a runaway hit in Sri Ramadasu, released on Ugadi, the Telugu New Year. He perhaps gave the performance of his lifetime in this period film (based on the story of the saint-composer Bhakta Ramadasu). In the film, Nag also had the occasion to share screen space with his father, the legendary thespian Akkineni Nageswara Rao.
While a historical Sri Ramadasu worked in Nag's favour, a slick and contemporary Boss bombed.
The years have treated Nag kindly, and he seems to be getting younger by the day. He can give any of the younger heroes a run for their money, any time.
