'I enjoy war-time operations'

August 15, 2008

Major Ashish Hooda, a Special Forces officer, won a Sena Medal for operations in Jammu and Kashmir.

A war-time operation gives the Indian soldier a chance to test the skills that they have been trained in, feels Major Hooda.

"Personally, I do enjoy war time operations more," he says, but is uncomfortable when asked about his gallantry award.

"While you do feel proud about it, you must remember that each and every soldier of the Indian armed forces is doing a gallant job every day," he reiterates.
