'I joined the army for the way of life it teaches all of us' August 15, 2008Major Jamini Dutta was awarded a Sena Medal for valour in the North-East.
Major Hooda and Major Khan were attracted to the Indian Army since their childhood as both their fathers served in the army. India, 61: The icons that make India "No other career can offer you the feeling that the Indian Army offers to you today," says the 6 feet 2 inch tall Major Hooda. For Major Khan, the life of a soldier did it for him. "The moment I opened my eyes I found around myself a disciplined environment.
