Before the meeting with President Musharraf, Dr Singh also spent some time with the President of China, Hu Jintao, at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel on Wednesday. Both countries agreed to seek a pragmatic solution to the boundary question.
The Prime Minister said it was possible to seek a solution based on guiding principles and political parameters discussed during the Chinese Prime Minister Wen Jiabao's recent visit to India. Both leaders also agreed to address the issue with urgency.
