Celebrating the life of Guru Nanak

According to legend, the Guru made four great journeys, travelling across India, Mecca in Arabia, Persia, and Baghdad in Iraq. On one of these missions he met the revered Saint Kabir (1441-1518). The Guru constantly preached against empty religious rituals, as well as social issues including the caste system and sati. Interestingly, he never asked anyone to follow him, telling Muslims to be true Muslims and Hindus to be true Hindus instead.
