'It is fun to see missiles, tanks and vehicles'

This trooper from the 612 Air Defence Brigade is one of the thousands of people, who though unseen on Rajpath, play a critical role in making the parade happen.
Throughout the R-Day preparations, Bal Karan's duty was to deliver food cooked at his parent unit in Delhi Cantonment to the men on duty at India Gate.
Every noon, along with personnel from several other units, he would deliver lunches to colleagues. "It was fun to come every day and see all these missiles, tanks and vehicles."
