'I was atop a tank from the same unit as my father'

I participated in the Republic Day parade atop a tank from the same unit that my father belonged to. It is a tradition for second generation officers to follow their fathers into the same unit.
But I got to overtake him to the Republic Day parade. My family was very excited to see me at the parade.
