What is Ayan about?
Ayan is a pucca Madras film, the story of which takes place in the Sowcarpet, Royapuram area in north Madras.
Ayan is about a guy who just passed out of college. Though he is from an educated middle class family, his surroundings are lower class. Instead of becoming a professional, he moves to the wrong side of society.
What happens to him in life when he falls into bad company?
You can compare the happenings in his life to the snake and ladder game. When the snake swallows him, he comes down and when he gets a ladder, he goes up; that's the story of the film.
