How did you get the idea to shoot a film in a single day?
The main reason behind the idea was the urge to do something different. The entire plot in Bhagavan happens in a span of two hours, when terrorists try to unleash an attack, with a hospital as their base.
Mohanlal's character, Dr Balagopal, is a gynecologist there and his prudent ways avert a tragedy. Of course, it could have been shot for some 25 days or so, but we tried to capture the action in 12 hours. But due to some sudden climatic issues, the shooting went on for 17 hours.
