How do you select scripts? You have done great movies like Manorama Six Feet Under and Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye!
I should be able to relate to the character. It should be real and natural, but not boring. I also see whether there is humour. There are many things running through my mind when I read a script. I see whether there is a natural progression in the story or whether it stagnates.
If it is a larger than life character, I cannot justify it. I guess I have never done a larger than life character yet. These characters have no relatability factor.
Will this mean that we won't be seeing you in big budget films?
I would love to be in a big budget movie.
Have you got any offers from Karan Johar or Yash Chopra?
I would love to do a Karan Johar film or Yash Chopra film but if you look at their track record, they have mostly worked with successful people.
