There's indifferent, unimpressive or plain awful.

As it is, 2008 was nothing paean-worthy for Bollywood. But some of the acting jobs from the usually smashing lot were just too shoddy to digest.

Rani Mukerji, Thoda Pyaar Thoda Magic

Whatever happened to the exquisite leading lady of Black, Bunty Aur Babli and Paheli? One never really expected Rani Mukerji to feature on such lists. Hopefully, this is a one-time thing.

Having said that, the actress does a seriously lame job of essaying a desi Mary Poppins. Instead of flashing some of that famous warmth, Rani stifles her character with feigned marvel and overbearing air.

Also, her idea of cute in a put-on Punjabi accent and flouncy uniform is annoying to say the least.
