Babu Janaradhanan, who was noted for the recent Thalappavu, has written the screenplay. Director Mahesh had shot into fame after he played an inmate of a juvenile home in Mudra. He went on to do more notable roles.

Calendar deals with a lecturer named Thankam George, who dotes on her daughter Kochurani. Her husband had died three months after the daughter's birth. Kochurani becomes the world for Thankam from then on.

But later, she is left shattered when she learns that her daughter has fallen for a Class X dropout, Olikkara Sojappan. Navya Nair plays Kochurani, and Prithviraj plays Sojappan.
