There is currently massive buzz around Zoya Akhtar's Luck By Chance.
The film features Farhan Akhtar as a Bollywood struggler, a young man trying to make it into the movies as an actor.
We decided the time was therefore ripe to look through the Bollywood archives, at other memorable strugglers:
Soha Ali Khan in Khoya Khoya Chand
Sudhir Mishra's ode to Bollywood's golden age starred Soha Ali Khan as Nikhat, an aspiring starlet with an unscrupulous mother.
The film saw her go from being a mere wannabe to the toast of tinseltown but real life, Nikhat realised, was a lot more complicated.
