Hrishikesh Mukherjee's Guddi was made off a rather phenomenal Gulzar script, about a schoolgirl utterly besotted with the actor Dharmendra.

Jaya Bachchan played the schoolgirl with elan, but much comedic support was duly delivered by Asrani, who played a flamboyant, big-talking extra called Kundan. Priceless stuff.
