This Friday, the battle at the box office will be between Kamalini Mukherjee's first Kannada film Savaari and Josh, a film about a young brigade.

Savari, made by media baron Ramoji Rao of Ee Naadu group is the remake of the Telugu film Gamyam by Krish.

The Kannada version is directed by Jacob Varghese who won a National Award for his short films. Well known music director Manikanth Kadri is the music director. R Welraj is the cinematographer and Sreekara Prasad the editor.

Like in the original and the Tamil remake, Savari has Kamalini Mukherjee [her first Kannada film] in the lead role and well-known model and Mr India winner, Raghu Mukherjee as the hero.

Sreenagara Kitty takes on the role played by Allari Naresh in the Telugu original. Suman Ranganath, Sadhu Kokila, Milind Gunanji, Prakash Urs and Dinesh Mangalore comprise the rest of the cast.

Jacab Varghese says that he has made some changes in the film. "The dialogue portions are completely changed. I have only retained the original concept and some important developments in the story. I have followed a different narrative pattern," added the director.
