Can you talk about your character?
My character's name is Amna, a Muslim girl who is sweet and fun loving and the audience will love her in the first scene itself. Being a Muslim girl, it was not difficult to portray the character. I can partly relate to my character, because I am also a straight forward and fun loving girl like her.
Amna loves a Punjabi boy (Aftab Shivdasani). She completes her studies in the US and comes to Mumbai. Her entire journey starts from there.
What kind of preparation did you do to play this role, because you have played a matured and serious role in Kahin to Hoga?
As an actress, I am comfortable doing comedy roles also. Of course we had a workshop and it was basically to break the ice between the actors because most of us were new.
Your experience shooting for the film?
In the first scene I had to hold Aftab's hand. I was shivering and everyone made me comfortable. When I got into my character everything went on smoothly. Overall it was wonderful experience.
Any incident you want to share while shooting for the film?
We were shooting in Delhi and were running short of time. We had to finish our shooting on that particular day and suddenly it starting raining. Shoot was cancelled and we had a blast.
