Why didn't you take up any other show after Kahin To Hoga?
I always wanted to do films and was waiting for the good offers. When Ekta Kapoor (chief of Balaji Tele films) narrated the script of Kahin To Hoga, I loved the character Kashish and couldn't refuse it. The reason I didn't take up any other show for the last one-year is because it is not easy for me to break the image of Kashish, whom I have played for three years, and get into another character.
I will always be thankful to the viewers and Kahi to Hoga. Whatever I am today is because of the love of audience and the character Kashish I played in Kahin To Hoga.
What were you doing after Kahin To Hoga?
It was a deliberate attempt from my side to maintain a low profile and read scripts. It was very difficult to reject the TV and film offers which I was getting during the break. People thought I was foolish to reject good work. Today I don't regret my decisions.
You have become popular on television; why make a shift from television to films?
I would like to grow as an actor. I wanted to do different kind of roles. Television has limited roles while in films you can do 10 different roles. Definitely as an actor it will give me creative satisfaction.
