'What I loved the most were the chandeliers'

Could you describe the sets?

The House:
It was clear from the script what kind of house Tarun wanted. It was a three BHK (bedroom-hall-kitchen), with a pool outside. Keeping the story in mind, I knew it had to be an apartment that Priyanka was going to share with the boys.

Also keeping each of their characters in mind, I developed the room accordingly. The flat was huge. The size of the living room itself was about 50x35. Basically to develop any kind of set, we use broad wooden planks called phalli (used as foundation) and plywood. Wood, because it is reusable and strong.

The Office:
We had different ideas for the office, and finally decided on making it fully black. We used four different colours for the rooms. The furniture were all designed and made by us. We gave it a Victorian look. What I loved the most were the chandeliers. It looked very lavish for an office.

The Desi Girl set:
This was the last set we worked on. We knew this was supposed to be an energetic song. So we created this huge set with lots of tables and chairs, and a dance floor in the middle of the room. We gave it stage-like look. The entire thing was made of plaster of Paris, moulding fibre and wood.
