Directed by Durai, the film also starred Rajnikanth, Sripriya and Kannada actor Ambareesh.

Under Shankar Ganesh, Kamal Hassan sang the song Obba Ninage Eradu Kannu Kotta which was a huge hit.

Kamal played an undercover agent who goes abroad to investigate a case in this action film. The film was a commercial flop.
