Following swiftly on the heels of YNM was Santhosh Subramaniam, the next movie to score a bulls-eye with the audience.
A stylish and classy remake of the Telugu hit Bommarillu, starring Siddharth and Genelia, SS hit the screens with Jeyam Ravi, known for his phenomenal success in remade movies and Genelia, again in the lead.
A heady sprinkling of comic interludes -- SS, like YNM had no separate comedy track -- and light-hearted romance with a backdrop of angst and sentiment proved to be a winning formula. Masala stunts were kept to a minimum; Devi Sri Prasad’s music scored again. SS made its mark as a complete family entertainer.
