Amitabh Bachchan
Amitabh's story was similar to Mithun. His first film, Saat Hindustani (1969), got him a National Award. But work post that, was far and few. Amitabh was considered too tall and thin. In fact, he was not even fair like the heroes of the time, and no actress was keen to work with him.
Three years and 14 flops later, Amitabh scored a hit in Bombay To Goa. More hits followed, and there was no looking back after that. Suddenly, all the actresses now begged to work with him.
