Shatrughan Sinha wanted to become an actor despite his scar. In those days, no hero wore scars on their faces.

Shatru's early years in the industry had him in negative and inconsequential roles. Nobody thought that he would make a good hero. Things changed for him when he bagged Subhahsh Ghai's Kalicharan (1976). From then, he started doing positive roles, and become a huge star. In fact, he was the bigger star than Amitabh Bachchan when the latter joined the industry.
