Actors we missed this year
It's been a below-average year for the movies. And we can't help thinking that if these people were given a few more shots at bat, things might have been improved somewhat. Here are some actors we feel we didn't see enough of in 2008.
Ayesha Takia
She's had blink-and-miss films out like Sunday and De Taali this year, but we expect a lot more from this fantastic actress. We've been admirers of the disarmingly natural performer right from Socha Na Tha in 2005, and she's just gotten better with time, as can be glimpsed with her powerful work in Nagesh Kukunoor's Dor.
When to see her next: Nagesh Kukunoor's Eight By Ten features Takia opposite Akshay Kumar. The film named after a photograph size is scheduled to release in early 2009.
