In the Shaad Ali helmed remake of Mani Ratnam's Alai Payuthey, SRK plays the warm and concerned hubby to his emotionally wrought wife (played by Tabu) after she nearly kills Rani Mukerji's character in a car accident.
Length wise, there wasn't much. But it sure added to the surprise and star value of the project, which starred Vivek Oberoi in its lead.
Again, it was a runaway hit.
