While some thought it was an exercise to launch kid brother, Uday along with a bunch of hopefuls like Jimmy Shergill, Jugal Hansraj, Kim Sharma, Preeti Jhangiani and Shamita Shetty, others felt it would be a clash of the superstars -- Amitabh Bachchan and SRK.
Speculation aside, Aditya Chopra's second attempt at direction was majorly flawed and most disappointing. It appeared as if he's still hung up on Raj Malhotra and all the male characters, barring Bachchan, in the film were nothing but pale extensions of his vibrant personality. SRK did his bit with the violin, but something was clearly amiss or should we say off-tuned?
Released on the same day as another hyped multi-starrer, Mission Kashmir, this needlessly elaborate and shockingly contrived movie fared better but failed to whet the appetite of any genuine moviegoer.
