After the overwhelming response to DDLJ, SRK showed up in another Yash Raj romance, Dil To Pagal Hai, which, graciously enough, didn't make the mistake of duplicating the former's aura.
Instead, director Yash Chopra opted to stage his lovey-dovey triangle against a contemporary mix of theatre and dance in a very urban setting.
Emphasising why he's not addressed as the King of Romance for the sake of it, Chopra brought out a sensual facet of SRK's romantic avatar, which was further accentuated through his scorching chemistry with Madhuri Dixit as well as tender moments with Karisma Kapoor. Needless to say, box office went pagal counting the moolah the film raked.
