Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge
During the making of Darr, SRK developed a fabulous rapport with the film's assistant director and Yash Chopra's eldest son, Aditya Chopra. And so when Adi was ready to showcase his filmmaking skills, it was pretty obvious King Khan would play the hero of his Europe to Punjab lovetrail, Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge.
Their off screen equation was for all to see in SRK's smooth-sailing portrayal of the by now legendary Raj Malhotra. DDLJ ran to packed houses for more than 500 weeks and is already a celebrated chapter of Hindi film history.
