A 15-year old successful collaboration could even turn Midas green with envy. Seriously, a 100 percent success ratio like theirs doesn't happen every day. But every time the Yash Raj banner and their in-house favourite Shah Rukh Khan come together, it's a certified blockbuster.
Six leading roles and one guest appearance later, the actor is slated to smack the jackpot yet again with Aditya Chopra's eagerly awaited, Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi co-starring new-find Anushka Sharma.
So confident is their combination that even the unfortunate terror attacks of 26/11 haven't dissuaded them into postponing its release. Whether it's utter madness or a well-thought strategy, they know best.
Meanwhile, here's a look at the fruits of their shared triumph:
Darr
Aamir Khan and Ajay Devgan were originally approached to stutter the iconic K-k-k-kiran. Luckily for Shah Rukh Khan, they opted out and he won the part of a psychotic stalker in Yash Chopra's engaging violent love story featuring Sunny Deol and Juhi Chawla. A decade and a half later, SRK continues to be a favoured member of this film-making clan.
Darr was an important release for both Chopra and Khan. While the maker finally got a breather after flops like Lamhe and Parampara, SRK's popularity, doubled up by Baazigar, reached unprecedented heights. He was now the onscreen bad guy whom the public loved to root for.
