Yes, every actor goes through such a phase if he or she gets characters like Mari in the beginning of their career. But I will not do a role that I don't believe in. I would rather sit at home than do mindless roles. There is no way I can compromise on the quality of films and the roles I do.
It will be hard to get good roles but I am sure there are such roles. You don't have to force yourself to do films you don't believe in just to remain in the industry. I want to be part of good cinema, that's all, and that need not be only acting.
In what way do you want to be a part of good cinema?
When I say I want to be part of good cinema, it can be anything. I can even be a technician or an art director or part of the writer-director team. I adore the way every department comes together to make good cinema. I want to experience everything.
