Interpreting The Master Builder

National award-winning director K P Kumaran is back with Aakashagopuram, based on Norwegian playwright Henrick Ibsen's play, The Master Builder.

The film has been shot entirely in London, with Mohanlal playing the protagonist.

K P Kumaran has been one of the best known names associated with serious cinema in Malayalam and has directed films like Athithi (1974), Rugmini (1988) and Thotram. He has also co-written Adoor Gopalakrishnan's Swayamvaram.

In an exclusive interview, the writer-director talks about Aakashagopuram. Excerpts:
