A Kannada classic, revamped!
Directed by Hunasur Krishnamurthy, Satya Harischandra was made simultaneously in Telugu under the same name by the production house.
The Telugu version starred N T Ramarao as Harischandrab and Phandari Bai as Chandramati.
The Telugu version however, could not match the success of the Kannada original. It even fared better than the Telugu version in Andhra Pradesh.
