Performances of all the lead artists -- Dr Raj Kumar (Sathya Harischandra), Udayakumar (Saint Vishwamithra), Phandari Bai (Chandramati), M P Shankar (Veerabahu) and Narasimha Raju (Nakshathrika) -- of the original were exemplary.
Well-known actor-producer Dwarakish also had a comedy role in the film.
Sources in the film industry say that Dr Raj Kumar received a remuneration of Rs 5000 while Hunasuru Krishna Murthy was paid about Rs 3000 for direction and writing the lyrics and dialogues.
