Radhika
Radhika got her big break with Pokkiriraja, opposite Rajni. Later, hit films like Ranga and Moonru Mugham followed. Their excellent on-screen chemistry was responsible for the phenomenal success of many films, the most significant one being Nallavanukku Nallavan.
No other heroine of Rajni can throw so much insight into the superstar's persona, his childlike simplicity and jovial nature, like Radhika. Once he took her on a joy ride on his scooter at breakneck speed, giving her a guided tour of where he lived and worked during his struggling days. Suddenly, a car screeched to a halt in front of them, starred at them and drove off. Rajni burst into laughter and told her, 'That was my brother-in-law!'
"A simple, down-to-earth man, Rajni could take anything in his stride," Radhika says. "In-between shots, I have seen him spreading a towel on a cement heap and napping. He never gossiped or spoke ill of anyone but talked philosophy and narrated stories from Mahabharatha."
