Shriya is also starring in the much-awaited Tamil film, Sivaji. Will that help the success of your film in any way?
I have no idea. I did not cast her because she was doing Sivaji. I don't think anything will add more or less to it. I don't see how Sivaji can affect my film. If at all Sivaji's success does help, I will be happy.
There are two other actors in your film, Rehan Khan and Mrinalini Sharma. Do they have parallel track?
Mrinilani tells the story, so she has an important part. She has done well for a newcomer.
I needed a Muslim boy for Rehan's role. He plays a Pakistani in the film. I needed someone who was modern but deeply religious. I remember asking him some questions and he told me about his breakup with a girl in college. When I asked him how he got through it, he said through prayer. That struck a chord in me and I decided to cast him.
