Episode III - Revenge of the Sith (2005)
The Story: Anakin's wife Padme is pregnant, and he is having visions of her dying in childbirth. Meanwhile, a Sith lord is manipulating the Council, Obi-Wan is chasing the robotic separatist leader General Grievous, and Yoda helps the Wookies defend themselves against the droid armies on Kaschyyk. All questions are answered in this film, questions about the creation of the greatest ever sci-fi epic Star Wars trilogy.
The ultimate origins story ever. After watching this film, I came out of the theater and realised that if George Lucas had only made this film, it would have been perfect. As a fan I have no quibbles, I got a meaty story with enough time devoted to developing all the story arcs, with a awesome opening sequence. It was stunning, to say the least.
This film tells us all we need to know about the creation of Darth Vader, the genesis of the Emperor, the birth of Luke Skywalker and Princess Leia.
Favourite scene: It's a big list but the greatest moment is when we see Darth Vader for the first time. The ultimate fan boy experience. I have seen this film over 32 times and I don't see myself tiring anytime soon!
