The fun part is that you always had room for someone to be there with you going through this extraordinary circumstance; this time it's Justin Long. How does he fit into the story?
Justin Long is the guy I take by the hand, dragging him through what I experience. But really, he's the guy who manages the technological part of the film that John McClane could never do. He's funny, a great guy and actor; and he really brings a lot to the film.
What about the new villain, Timothy Olyphant?
Tim came into the movie late but he brought a very logical point of view to the bad guy. No one could quite figure out how we were going to have this guy appear on screen until Tim showed up.
His character really believes in what he is doing though they are crazy stuff. If you notice in the latest trailer, he says, 'I'm helping the United States, I'm doing a good thing for the United States, and I will let history be the judge.'
Tim is a really smart actor and he knows so much about the actual nuts and bolts of making a scene work.
How does he stack up to the previous Die Hard villains?
I think he's right up there with Jeremy Irons, Hans Gruber and Alan Rickman. Rickman is one of my all time favourites -- I just love that guy.
