While some term it a fancily packaged tour to Rajasthan, others see it as a grand, visual fantasy. The truth is that Amol Palekar's gorgeous retake on Mani Kaul's Duvida wouldn't be quite the same without its chosen setting.
In this fairy tale romance between a woman and a romantic ghost, there is plenty to catch the eye. To begin with, we have the jadau designs on the borlas sported by Rani and the bandhini on Shah Rukh's turban.
It is impossible not notice the beautiful setting and locales -- the palatial havelis, colourful puppets, magnificent bawdi (stepwell), golden dunes and an extravagant camel race.
