Debutant director Aditya Chopra got everything right in this Shah Rukh Khan-Kajol starrer -- from the cast to the story filled with Indian values, to the music.

DDLJ released in 1995, and is still enjoying a tax-free run in Mumbai.

Though the film is steeped in Indian values, it begins its story in London, where SRK and Kajol's families are based. The young couple fall in love while on a Eurorail trip. But Kajol gets engaged to a Punjab-resident. Undeterred, SRK's Raj follows her to the mustard fields of Punjab, and convinces her extended family to agree to their union.
