Sukhwinder: From sports to Oscars

Sunidhi: We all know you are such a wonderful singer, but not many know that you also write songs. Tell us about the song in Meenaxi. How did you write that, Titli daboch li maine?

Sukhwindar: How this happened is, MF Husain, the director of Meenaxi, had came to our studio and gave me a wonderful gift, a painting. I was very touched. When I told AR Rahman about it, we both decided to make a song for him as a gift. This song was ready in a day. Rahman composed it beautifully.

Sunidhi: What do the words Chinamma chilkamma mean? Did you write those words too?

Sukhwindar: Not at all! I remember when Rahman saab first played the song to me after we recorded it, I quickly explained the meaning of my lyrics to him. He said don't worry, it is somewhat similar!
