Sunidhi Chauhan seems to have slipped into her new role of a radio jockey with surprising ease. Her interview with Kunal Ganjawala, for Radio City 91.1 FM's morning show Musical-E-Azam, was clearly a success.
In the second of a series, she along with RJ Manish Paul interviews singer Sukhwindar Singh. Excerpts:
Manish Kaul: I have seen so many stage shows, where do you all get all that energy?
Sukhwindar Singh: I used to be a sportsperson. Also, I have learnt that the more you are relaxed the more energy you have. So just before a show just I relax, bring myself to level zero, to get energised.
Sunidhi Chauhan: We all know at one time you used to be a music arranger with Laxmikant Pyarelal. Tell us about that experience.
Sukhwindar: No, I was not a music arranger, I was learning with Laxmiji and Pyareji. It was not even official. During those days, I wanted to learn how Laxmiji used to carry the compositions and maintain them. And Pyrelalji's orchestration, how he maintained the energy level. I used to be with them for hours and listen to them. Whatever little talent or gift that I have for composition today is because of them.
