'I'm not going through a low career phase'

There were hurdles performing this character. I tried method acting in the beginning, using earplugs and cotton balls, but I started missing my cues. I wouldn't hear Fardeen's dialogues and would fail to react to it, so the scene would fall flat. Comic timing is very important.

Later, I used to hear everything, but not react. This would happen to Fardeen too. We would have a great scene and, at the end of the shot, I would say, 'Pyare…' and he would look at me. We would have to do the entire shot again.

The action sequences were tough. There were scenes where we had to jump from one building to another, while playing deaf and blind characters. We had to guide each other a lot. There was a scene where Fardeen was driving and he had to look up and drive. I had to really guide him. That was scary. Both the girls (Esha Deol and Amrita Rao) were really screaming at the back!
