Another girl from Kerala who migrated to the Tamil film industry, Nayanthara shot to fame when she starred opposite Rajnikanth in Chandramukhi.

The 21-year-old actress acted opposite another aging hero, Sarath Kumar.

In fact, Nayanthara's career started opposite an older hero, Jayaram in Malayalam followed by another film with Mohanlal. Her recent Malayalam release was with Mammootty.

But now, she seems to have moved to the younger league of actors like Silambarasan. She will play one of the heroines of his directorial debut, Vallavan.
