Jaaved detailed how working with a very urbane American family was a bit of a challenge, so they've kept the Hindi conversational yet bubbly, something aided by Shah Rukh's little improvised bits. The film, he said, doesn't have many accents, but the voices are quirky and interesting enough to be a lot of fun.

Rakshanda expressed regret at not actually working along with the cast while dubbing, and laughingly said she jumped for the role as soon as she heard it was of a happily married, committed wife, the kind of role she never gets to play on screen. The film turned out to be a learning experience for her.

Asif Ali Baig had the rather peculiar task of dubbing for a female character, Edna, voiced by Incredibles director Brad Bird in the original. He loved the voice, and looked forward to dubbing with Shah Rukh, but it never happened. He called his character vital to the film, saying (as Edna designs costumes for The Incredibles) that even superheroes can't really do much if they're running around naked!

Malishka Mendonsa, our resident Rediff Radio jockey, stars as Mona, and excitedly gushed that when the dubbing director mentioned that Shah Rukh Khan was doing the dubbing, she just screamed! She eagerly started assembling radio exclusive features in her head, but was then given the dismal news that she wasn't actually going to meet the man. Always ebullient, she posed with life-size Shah Rukh pictures instead!

During the press conference, sitting on the star's left, she promised her radio listeners that she'd have at least one exclusive byte from the him, and turned to him in her sexy, husky, Mona voice and growled a seductive: "Hello Mr Laajawab, kaise hain aap?"

"Not now, darling!" replied Shah Rukh, a suggestive eyebrow firmly in place. Later, he turned to her and called her a sexy lady he's upset at not getting the chance to dub with.
