I just watched the film two days ago," SRK added, "and the children were having a blast screaming and shouting while watching the film. Unfortunately, I must admit, for all of us sitting here, the English version still sounds better (laughs).
"I think that's because over there the actors have been chosen appropriately, and their look is reflected in their characters. They also get to do their own voices first, and the animated film is built around it. Unlike us, dubbing a film with characters already in place, which is totally different.
"Having said that, I must say that what I've heard of our version sounds really good. I've heard some of Rakshanda's lines (she plays his wife in the film) and then there's the person I think all of us can learn from - Jaaved Jafferi, an absolutely outstanding artiste, possibly the most gifted artiste of our country! During this film, I kept trying to match up, to be even 10-20 percent of what Jaaved can emote while dubbing for a scene.
"I hope everybody enjoys the film, and it works toward encouraging animation in India. It's not much, it's a very small step, but it's in the right direction. If it works, we will have a new genre to work with in India."
