 Plot:A special police squad plant their spy in a leading terrorist group and, thus, capture the terrorist leader. Who ensures that his interrogator's family is held at ransom, to make sure the cop bends to his will. The cop, eventually, kills the terrorist.

Missile: Drohkaal's plus was its high dose of intensity, which lent authenticity to Ashish Vidyarthi's (who plays the group leader) character. The tension that Nihalani built between the characters had a deep impact on the viewer's mind.

Blast from the past: South superstar Kamal Haasan bought the rights of Drohkaal and remade it in Tamil as Kurudhippunal.
