How long did it take to develop this? How many people were involved in the project?
It took about three years. It took over 15 full-time developers to create the offering. We still have a long way to go before we achieve all our milestones that we have set for ourselves.
How difficult was the task? What hurdles did you face?
Of course, the task was formidable as we had to constantly talk to customers and users to make sure we addressed their pain-points with conventional, hardware-based, 'multi-box' systems.
We also had to manage a plethora of operational challenges constantly. However, the effort paid off and our first product, a software application for contact centres, provided us with the right opportunities and exposure to accomplish what we have.
The hurdles were mainly internal -- pacing our learning, managing the talent in the right manner, and growing operations. But we still have miles to go and our learning continues.
Tell us more about the work that goes behind such an innovation?
It has taken us a lot of brainstorming sessions, discussions and arguments over years to come this far. During certain periods, we have had 16-hour workdays.
