How did you go about starting this company?
It all started with a technology idea during our final year at the Indian Institute of Technology. The five of us who started the company were very excited to work on this idea instead of taking the traditional route.
Initially, we failed as we did not know how to go about doing business. We later did some research on how we can do it right. Over the next two years, we just learnt and absorbed insights and knowledge, although we knew that it is challenging to develop a product in India and sell it globally.
What is the company's financial position? How are company's revenues growing?
The company is completely employee-funded and the revenue growth is pretty strong and consistent. We are registering a consistent three-figure growth rate. Last year the company's revenues crossed $1.5 million.
How many employees were there when you started and what is the strength now?
We started off with 6 people. Currently, we have over 80 employees.
Most people find finance a major constraint to starting a venture. How was it for you?
Of course, it's always a challenge to start a venture and take it through, but we knew what we had to do. It was clear focus on starting with turn-key projects at the beginning, and then moving on to product development. We have not taken got any funding from any external source till now.
