'There is no electricity...'

The beach is absolutely fantastic: miles and miles of virgin beach and clear blue waters. Fishing boats dot the horizon and since there were few visitors, the beach was literally ours. We were told this beach is the longest in India, which may be true as we never managed to walk from one end to the other!

But good things come at a price. And this we realised only after staying there. There is no electricity in Mandarmani, and all hotels are run on generators. Therefore, there is was no hot water, (it is delivered in buckets) and the generators had to be shut off for four hours everyday.
