However, there's always a chance of forgetting to do something or marring your celebrations because of a minor oversight. So to help you have no regrets post-Diwali, we've drawn up a checklist that will enmsure you've done it all this festive season!
Festive shopping
Diwali is the season when shoppers go crazy looking for the best deals. Shops and malls put up their best to attract the crowd. So as you embark on your shopping adventure, make sure to:
Take care of your belongings when you shop in crowded places. Keep your purses shut and close to you all the time.
Keep your children and pets with you all the time in a crowded place.
Make a list of things you need to buy before you go. Classify the items, for examples, clothes, crackers, sweets, gifts and then put dates against each.
Scourge the papers in advance before the actual date. Check for deals and offers.
Make it a picnic, with a lunch/dinner to make it enjoyable for everyone.
Remember not to pick up even the most harmless of items like a shopping bag or someone's purse. Instruct everyone with you to take care. If you see something suspicious and unattended, please inform the Floor Manager of the mall or call 100 for the police (if it is in a public place).
